“Just as water shapes and molds the earth, our thoughts sculpt the landscape of our minds. Let the currents of self-awareness and reflection flow, carving paths of growth and resilience.”

    Treatment Approaches

No two clients are the same!

That’s why at Seagrass Psychology Rebecca is committed to getting to know you, to tailor the approach to best suit your needs and treatment goals.

Embedded in the foundations of therapy at Seagrass Psychology, Polyvagal Theory provides the underlay of deep transformative work. Rooted in research and founded by Dr Steve Porges, Polyvagal Theory gives a biological explanation for psychological symptoms that when clustered together, have come to be known as mental health conditions. Through the lens of the autonomic nervous system, Deb Dana has gifted humanity with her Rhythm of Regulation life works and training. At Seagrass Psychology, we use a series of individually designed maps to navigate our way forward through the mind-body connection. Together, we use tools for self-regulation and co-regulation which are grounding, holistic and effective. As your guide, you can learn new ways to recognise embodied trauma, to honour how the nervous system has protected you, and to gently start to let go of what no longer serves you. Through embodiment, together we can find order from the disorder.
