About Rebecca

 

Rebecca Confoy graduated with a BSocSci (psych) GD (psych) MAPS. As a registered psychologist, she has provided psychological support to adolescents and adults in private practice and educational settings.

 

My Background

Rebecca graduated with a Graduate Diploma of Psychology from Deakin University in 2003, following a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology and Sociology). In subsequent years she has undertaken professional training to become fully Polyvagal Theory Informed and has also gained ANZAED accreditation. As a registered Psychologist she has provided support to adolescents and adults in community mental health services, secondary schools, GP practices, specialist eating disorder service and in sole private practice. She has a passion for strength-based models of care and empowering people to utilise the innate natural psychological abilities within all of us. With her affirming and compassionate relational style, she is continuously in awe of the human spirit and what it can accomplish. With each and every new client, Rebecca brings a natural curiosity and a growth mindset, learning more and more about the potential for healing, personal growth and thriving.

Rebecca supports clients to unpack the experiences that have shaped them, and  discover their inner resources to live more deliberately in the present and with greater hope for the future.
